Giving Tree

posted Nov 23, 2018, 7:22 AM by Michelle Perry

The Parent Council is once again working with 2 local charities this holiday season; Kerr Street Mission and Halton Women’s Place.  As in years past we are supporting Kerr Street Mission with a pyjama & sock drive for children (ages newborn to 13), and for Halton Women’s Place we are running a pillow and grocery gift card drive for the families who use the shelter.

Here’s where we need your help: when you are in for your student led conferences this week please stop by the front alcove and take an ornament from the tree; each ornament will list the required item (i.e. PJ Girl age 3, pillow, Walmart gift card .. etc.).  The tree will remain up until the break so if you don’t get a chance to come in this week you can take an ornament anytime during the drive.  We ask that you return your donation by the evening of the Holiday Concert (December 6th) so we can have them back to the charities and distributed to families in time for Christmas.   Gifts can be placed under the tree and gift cards can be dropped in a box in the office.

Once again we thank you for your generosity this holiday season, New Central is always such a giving community!
